摘要: Abstract Some studies have suggested that lean hypertensive men may be at greater risk of major ischaemic heart disease (IHD) events than obese men. The issue was examined on data from the British Regional Heart Study for 7735 middle-aged followed up an average 7·5 years; during this time 443 experienced a IHD event. Hypertension defined as systolic blood pressure 160 mm Hg or above, diastolic 95 receiving treatment hypertension. For both and normotensive rate events, standardised age cigarette smoking, rose with increasing body mass index (BMI). relative odds associated 5 kg/m 2 difference in BMI (ie, 15 kg weight height [1·73 m]) were 1·30 (p=0·02) 1·43 (p=0·0004) men, respectively. A review eleven prospective studies, including Study, presented standard form comparative purposes, suggests are not higher overweight/obese There seems to no justification suggestion policy reduction lower might inappropriate.
