摘要: Neural functions in the nucleus accumbens (ACC) play an important role alcohol drinking behavior. In present study, we observed effects of age and ethanol (EtOH) on dopamine (DA) serotonin (5-HT) release ACC freely moving 4-, 10-, 16-month-old rats using brain microdialysis techniques. After co-perfusion with 200 mM ethanol, DA, 5-HT were decreased significantly compared to those at 4 months old. DA neurons aged less sensitive ethanol. On other hand, both basal extracellular higher than 4-month-old rats. Therefore, aging results opposite changes alcohol-induced ACC.
