摘要: The epidemiology of head injury was studied in Cantabria, Spain, using a methodological design consisting cross-selectional analysis one year duration and an additional follow-up all the patients included initial sample. 477 cases identified represent rate 91/100,000, with males showing 2.7 times higher that than for females. Sixty per cent involved traffic accidents, falls accounted 24% industrial accidents were cause 8%. annual age-adjusted mortality 19.7/100,000. Over 92% deaths occurred prior to hospital admission. presence alcohol intoxication evaluated 211 by determining osmolar gap. It found 51% examined presented clear evidence acute intoxication.
