摘要: Background: Obesity and diabetes mellitus are associated with lifestyle-related carcinogenesis. They also risk factors of esophageal adenocarcinoma, but there only a few reports on association between obesity/diabetes development squamous cell carcinoma in the oral cavity esophagus. In this study, we therefore aimed to determine whether obesity affect carcinogenesis using model mice diabetes, Tsumura Suzuki obese (TSOD) non-obesity (TSNO) control mice, which were treated 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide (4-NQO) produce tongue carcinomas. Methods: We used 28 each male TSOD TSNO 8 weeks age. divided into 4-NQO-treated group (n = 20) untreated 8). 4-NQO was administered drinking water at dose level 20 ppm for weeks. The given distilled without 4-NQO. At experimental weeks, histopathological examination performed all organs including analysis histopathology included buccal capsule (a tongue)/esophagus after an experiment start Fasting plasma glucose (FPG) lipid parameters total cholesterol (T-Cho), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol low-density (LDL)-cholesterol measured these compared two genotypes. Also, mRNA expression eight cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-17, interferon (IFN)-γ, keratinocyte-derived cytokine (KC), macrophage inflammatory protein (MIP)-1α, MIP-2, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α mucosa assayed. Results: treatment produced proliferative lesions (dysplasia, papilloma carcinoma) esophagus both mice. incidence multiplicity tumors 30% 0.45 ± 0.83 0.40 0.68 70% 2.25 2.29 0.60 1.14 (P < 0.01) Conclusion: Our findings indicate that diabetic susceptible 4-NQO-induced carcinogenesis, suggesting carcinoma. Additionally, useful as carcinogenic model. study first reported induced cancer World J Oncol. 2017;8(4):97-104 doi: https://doi.org/10.14740/wjon1038w
