Tooth brushing and social characteristics of families in 32 countries.

摘要: Objectives: To compare the reported tooth brushing behaviour among adolescents in relation to age, gender and parental occupation, family affluence, single parent at least one not working but staying home. Methods: Representative samples of 11-, 13- 15 year old pupils 32 countries completed an anonymous standardised questionnaire during school hours. Results: Large differences prevalences were found between for both genders: from 16–80 % boys 26–89% girls. In some prevalence more-than-once-a-day increased by increasing whereas others it declined. High occupational status affluence clearly related a high brushing. Children living two families had higher recommended only few countries. Conclusions: Within European continent North America, gender, occupation significantly associated with frequency adolescents. The association characteristics, such as absence parents supervisory role parents, children appeared be rather weak inconsistent.
