摘要: Abstract— Fracture behaviour of injection-moulded polypropylene filled with silane-treated talc was studied as a function filler volume fraction (0–20%) and compared to that untreated talc. High-rate tests (0.57 m/s) on SENB specimens were carried out using an instrumented Charpy impact pendulum, linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) applied calculate the parameters, KC GC. It found moderate fractions which added matrix increased toughness composite independent surface treatment. This general improvement seems be due peculiar orientation platelets in specimens. The composites also at low strain rate (1 mm/min) by J-integral type same geometry. In this case, presented poor values those samples attributed reduction plastic zone crack tip, since improved coupling between yield strength composite. All results are explained basis morphological microstructural details.
