摘要: Hydrophilic microparticle and nanoparticle-filled isotactic polypropylene (iPP) composites containing 5 wt% particles were extruded in a Berstorff extruder then injection molded. For characterization the tensile unnotched Charpy impact tests performed. The results show that significant improvements strength, yield elongation, strength are achieved iPP/nanoparticle composite based on good dispersion quality of nanoparticles. In case iPP/microparticle composite, modulus markedly increased compared to neat matrix, but elongation drastically decreased due broad size distribution microparticles. fracture mechanisms discussed by studying surface morphology failed samples. Furthermore, influence crystalline behavior mechanical properties iPP was discussed.
