摘要: The behaviour of the sea breeze along north coast Spain is investigated using observations two topographically contrasting sites together with simulations from Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. An objective systematic selection method used to detect sea-breeze days a database summer months. direction intensity are significantly affected by topography area; indeed, estimated shows an opposite relationship cross-shore temperature gradient for both sites. WRF reproduce onset breeze, but some characteristics not adequately simulated: they generally overestimate wind speed, smooth evolution do represent correct interaction terrain-induced flows. Additionally, four sensitivity experiments performed model varying Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) scheme, as well grid analysis nudging anomalous case study which incorrectly filtered. As considering unreal (not observed) this day turns out be great interest: it allows evaluate influence passage front (SBF) in other variables mainly related turbulence. Furthermore, best scores obtained PBL scheme that does use TKE closure.
