摘要: In this paper, the issue of capacity credit provided by wind energy conversion systems (WECS) is addressed. A chronological method post-evaluation presented and compared with a pre-evaluation probabilistic method. The proposed approach based on computation WECS factor (ratio between average total output) over some relevant time period. An appropriate choice interval, for instance peak load hours, will lead to closer approximation credit. comparison illustrated two case-studies, concerning Portuguese electric system. analysis theoretical background both methods results obtained allow conclusion that are best designed assist system operators, whereas methods, which developed within logic public avoided resources, helping tool planners.
