摘要: Abundances and composition of marine litter seabirds were estimated in the central South Pacific (SP) Ocean between Chilean continental coast Easter Island Ecoregion. Litter was dominated by plastics throughout study area, but proportion higher at sea on oceanic islands than coastal waters beaches. densities close to center SP subtropical gyre compared coast. The seabird assemblage diverse (28 species), several endemic species recorded. Seabird abundances around Juan Fernandez Islands off Oceanic Polynesian sectors. Endangered breeding Salas & Gomez observed sector, which suggests a high potential for negative interactions floating litter, both occurring this sector.
