Sources of error in dietary fibre analysis

摘要: Abstract The following error sources in the present dietary fibre (DF) analytical methods were investigated: (1) omission of protease treatment samples may modify results by increasing Klason lignin fraction and altering content and/or distribution polysaccharides; (2) some soluble (SDF) constituents can be retained insoluble (IDF) matrix affecting distribution; (3) protein, ash blank corrections gravimetric analysis involve a lack precision, over- or undervaluing actual DF contents; (4) fractions obtained acid hydrolysis residues are made up different components artifacts besides lignin. These studies included both new observations additional quantitative evidence on previously mentioned literature. In cases published modified to emphasize methodological errors.
