摘要: We used the methylcellulose-culture technique to determine utility of erythroid progenitor growth in vitro from nonadherent T-depleted bone marrow and peripheral blood cells distinguishing polycythemia vera (PV) essential thrombocythemia. Thirty patients with PV (group A) 30 who presented idiopathic marked thrombocytosis platelet count greater than 1,000 x 10(9)/L a normal or reduced hemoglobin (Hb) level B) were studied at initial presentation. Endogenous (erythropoietin-independent) colonies (EEC) found all group A 13 B. The numbers EEC comparable between B, 11 whom Hb levels ranging 6.4 g/dL 12.6 have 2 45 months after evaluation. number did not correlate time progression polycythemia, whereas myelosuppression delayed subsequent development PV. Of two B develop PV, both received chemotherapy soon presentation, which might preclude evidence evolution. None other form developed median follow-up 24 months. This study indicates that assessment is helpful early identification prediction evolution has been initially masked anemia present.
