摘要: Abstract The shapes of rotating Ra and Th nuclei (130 ⩽ N 138) are calculated using the cranking model. lightest isotopes have spherical ground states, but develop octupole quadrupole deformations under rotation which remain up to very high spins. states heavier persist intermediately spins (I = 14–24 h ) . At higher spins, a transition is predicted take place along yrast line with similar no deformation component.
