摘要: Proteomes of acid mine drainage biofilms at different stages ecological succession were examined to understand microbial responses changing community membership. We evaluated the degree reproducibility proteomes between samples same growth stage and found stable predictable protein abundance patterns across time sampling space, allowing for a set 50 classifier proteins be identified use in predicting undefined communities. Additionally, physiological changes dominant species, Leptospirillum Group II, analysed as mature. During early stages, this population responds abiotic stresses related on solution. Enzymes involved synthesis, cell division utilization 1- 2-carbon compounds more abundant suggesting rapid reorganization metabolism during biofilm initiation. As thicken diversify, external arise from competition dwindling resources, which may inhibit II through SOS response. This also represses translation synthesizes complex carbohydrates amino acids mature biofilms. These findings provide unprecedented insight into that result competitive interactions within communities natural environments.
