摘要: An all-fiber ring resonator, constructed from a single strand of single-mode optical fiber and directional coupler, is shown to have low threshold for stimulated Brillouin laser action. The 10-m-perimeter resonator has round-trip loss under 3.5% an inherent pump-power enhancement approximately 30. Lasing the 4.0-microm-core occurred with pump power 0.56 mW at lambda = 6328 A 1.74 5145 A.
