摘要: The gas is at 30-120 degrees C, and its steam content adjusted to a satn. of 35-90%; it then fed downwards through solid bed activated carbon, which impregnated with 0.2-5.0 wt.% iodine for the catalytic oxidn. SO2 into H2SO4. H2SO4 has concn. >30% flows in co-current waste gas. initial pref. contains max. 3 vol.% SO2; mixed hot air obtain min. 60%. removed periodically from carbon by spraying water or dil. followed drying 5 hrs. spray uses 0.2-1.25, esp. 0.5-0.9 kg H2O per obtd. High efficiency removal combined long working life catalyst.
