摘要: Chromium (Cr) is among the most toxic pollutants in environment that adversely affect living organisms and physiological processes different plants. The present study investigated effect of 15 mg L−1 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) on morpho-physiological attributes cauliflower (Brassica oleracea botrytis L.) under Cr concentrations (0, 10, 100, 200 μM) growth medium. results showed stress decreased growth, biomass, photosynthetic, gas exchange parameters. enhanced activities enzymatic antioxidants, catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) response to oxidative caused by elevated levels malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), electrolyte leakage (EL) both roots leaves cauliflower. total uptake were increased leaves, stems, with increasing culture Foliar application ALA plant parameters, photosynthetic pigments compared treatments without ALA. MDA, EL, H2O2 while further improved performance antioxidant only Cr-stressed plant. application. indicated foliar might be beneficial minimizing its effects
