摘要: Angiogenesis is critical to a wide range of physiological and pathological processes. Scutellarin, major flavonoid Chinese herbal medicine Erigeron breviscapus (Vant.) Hand. Mazz. has been shown offer beneficial effects on cardiovascular cerebrovascular functions. However, scutellarin's angiogenesis underlying mechanisms are not fully elucidated. Here, we studied angiogenic scutellarin human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) in vitro. Scutellarin was found by MTT assay induce proliferation HUVECs. In scutellarin-treated HUVECs, dramatic increase migration measured wound healing assay; Transwell chamber significantly more invading groups. also promoted capillary-like tube formation HUVECs Matrigel, upregulated platelet cell adhesion molecule-1 at both mRNA protein levels. Scutellarin's mechanism investigated vitro measuring expression factors associated with invasion. strongly induced MMP-2 activation cultured concentration-dependent manner. Taken together, these results suggest that promotes may form basis for therapy.
