摘要: We have investigated the effects of maternal vitamin A intake during pregnancy and lactation or alone on concentration in rat's milk levels plasma liver dams their pups. Groups Sprague-Dawley rats were fed diets having either a high content [15 retinol equivalents (R.E.)/g diet] low (0.6 R.E./g) for 42 d, including 7-8 d prior to pregnancy, 14 lactation. The was significantly greater [114 +/- 16 micrograms/dl (mean SEM; n = 8) versus 52 7.3 (n 11), P less than 0.005]. However, 1 did not vary with pregnancy. In second study which supplementation (30 R.E./g diet) begun postpartum, increased progressively duration Maternal concentrations differ between higher lower diets. both 14-d-old pups when and/or results these studies indicate that transfer from mother offspring by status suckling neonates is influenced lactation.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
