摘要: Abstract By analogy to the modal theory of optical bistability we develop a simple model for study Ikeda instability in Kerr-type nonlinear ring cavity. Our approach leads, plane-wave approximation, complete analytical description period-two attractor system. The simplicity our developments allows us include transverse dimension cavity model. An role diffraction onset period-doubling instabilities is proposed. A parallel drawn between period doubling and resonators with special emphasis on physical process modulational instability.
