摘要: From a retrospective analysis of 180 surgical interventions for soft tissue sarcoma the limbs and trunk, it was concluded that complete excision tumour can usually be achieved without sacrifice major artery, vein, nerve or bone. In this series five arteries were resected but only one required reconstruction. None six veins seven nerves reconstructed. Bone resection in limb plating two eleven patients who had limb-sparing (there nine amputations). Both thorax, bone often involved such wide superficial tissues as to require flap repair: four used three chest wall resections. majority operations (140/180) primary wound closure possible. After 15 procedures predominantly involving tissues, split skin grafts used. These generally successful (13/15), even occasionally when high-dose radiotherapy been given. 16 cases earlier influenced decision use repair. A total 18 repairs performed. various situations Mersiline mesh (Ethicon, Ltd., UK), Silastic implants omental swings Wound breakdown heavily irradiated presented challenge Although reconstruction 27 (15 per cent), thorough knowledge available methods repair is essential allow uninhibited with an optimal aesthetic functional result.
