摘要: Background: Different risk factors have been suggested for ischemic stroke in young adults. In a group of these patients despite extensive diagnostic work-up, the primary cause remains unknown. Coagulation tendency is accounted as possible patients. Previous studies on factor V Leiden (FVL) main inherited thrombophilia clarifying role FVL resulted controversial findings. The current study investigates this among Iranians. Materials and Methods: This case-control was performed between September 2007 December 2008 Isfahan, Iran. case comprised 22 which 15 were males 7 females with age range ≤50 years, diagnosed without classic control consisted 54 healthy After filling consent form, venous blood samples obtained sent to laboratory genetic examination. Results: No mutation found group. There one carrier heterozygous (relative frequency = 1.85%). Conclusions: Based our study, might not be considered an independent Iranian individuals who are suffering from other stroke.
