Relationship between organisational commitment and burnout syndrome: a canonical correlation approach.

摘要: Objective Burnout syndrome can significantly reduce the performance of health workers. Although many factors have been identified as antecedents burnout, few studies investigated role organisational commitment in its development. The purpose present study was to examine relationships between subdimensions burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and personal accomplishment) (affective commitment, continuance normative commitment). Methods a cross-sectional survey physicians other healthcare employees working Ministry Health Ordu University Education Research Hospital. sample consisted 486 Data were collected using Maslach Inventory Organisation Commitment Scale, analysed canonical correlation approach. Results first three coefficients pairs variables (Ui , Vi, commitment) found be statistically significant. Emotional exhaustion contribute most towards explanatory capacity estimated from syndrome, whereas affective provided largest contribution commitment.
