摘要: Abstract Functional ultrasound (fUS) is an emerging neuroimaging tool capable of measuring brain-wide vascular signals linked to neuronal activity with high spatial–temporal resolution in real time. In this review, we first describe recent technical advancements fUS and then summarize how technology has been applied various neuroscience fields. Among the research threads involving fUS, emphasize promising technique for systems neuroscience, as enables whole-brain recordings behaving mice. This approach also compatible simultaneous modulation recording specific populations and paves way dissecting brain mechanisms at network level. Finally, identify key challenges, including movement artifacts hardware limitations that must be overcome allow reach its full potential years come.
