摘要: Rivers provide many social and environmental services that benefit humanity. A critical role of water mangers is to prioritize allocation options trade off socio-economic hydro-ecological benefits in rivers. Methods for multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) a structured systematic manner researchers aid this process. In paper, we describe new MCDA method prioritizes large multi-dimensional sets tradeoffs support well-informed management The was developed based on an flows planning study the Goulburn-Broken River catchment, Victoria, Australia. combined simulation heuristic optimization procedure previously integrated into hydrological catchment network model. That process resulted set viable daily schedules traded long-term irrigation at outlet. We provided guidance procedures identify priority can be used stakeholder deliberations decision-making. Our included ordination cluster spread alternatives onto two-dimensional plane discover with similar criteria tradeoffs. geometric distance-based performed full identified clusters rank accordance minimizing distance ideal but non-feasible reference point space. This complements use elicitation when manager or other interaction not option objectivity desired. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
