摘要: Background & Aims Liver fibrosis is the main determinant of long-term outcome in chronic liver diseases. Little known about prevalence general population. The aim study was to investigate adult population with unknown disease. Methods This a population-based, cross-sectional performed Barcelona metropolitan area. Subjects aged 18 75 years old were identified randomly from citizens included primary health care registry. Of 4866 subjects invited, 3076 participated (63.2%). estimated by measuring stiffness (LS) transient elastography (TE). histology assessed 92 increased LS. Results Prevalence estimates LS (≥6.8, ≥8.0, and ≥9.0 kPa) 9.0%, 5.8%, 3.6%, respectively. etiology disease mainly nonalcoholic fatty (NAFLD), followed alcohol risk consumption (consumption ≥21 standard drinking units/wk men ≥14 women). Factors independently associated male sex, abdominal obesity, type 2 diabetes, serum glucose, high-density lipoprotein, triglyceride levels. without factors for NAFLD or had very low best cut-off value significant (F2–F4) 9.2 kPa, high sensitivity specificity. TE more accurate than alanine aminotransferase, score, Fibrosis 4. An algorithm screening using community setting proposed. Conclusions These findings show silent advanced related European less kPa predicts absence accuracy could be used purposes.
