摘要: In this paper we discuss a computational method focused on the prediction of unsteady aerodynamics, adequate for industrial turbomachinery. Here focus single rotor device selected from new family large tunnel ventilation axial flow fans. The field in fan was simulated using open source code OpenFOAM, with large-eddy simulation (LES) approach. sub-grid scale (SGS) closure relied one-equation model, that requires us to solve differential transport equation modeled SGS turbulent kinetic energy. use such here considered as remedial strategy LES high-Reynolds flows, being able tackle otherwise insufficient resolution turbulence spectrum. results show allows predict pressure rise capability and reproduce most relevant features, three-dimensional separation secondary flows.
