摘要: Abstract Cells of the achlorophyllous micro-alga Prototheca zopfii were immobilized in 8-mm-cube polyurethane foam pieces. A 2-fold increase volumetric biodegradation rate cells for n -alkanes (mixture C 14 , 15 and 16 ) was observed compared with that system using calcium alginate gel batch experiments flasks agitated on a reciprocal shaker at 25°C. The apparent rates influenced significantly by affinities between algal matrix and/or hydrocarbons to be degraded matrix. Such resulted improvement interaction substrates cells. stability examined repeated-batch culture activity stable over three successive cycles cultivation. P. incorporated into bubble-column type bioreactor degrading potential effectiveness cell confirmed.
