New high-resolution teleradiology system: prospective study of diagnostic accuracy in 685 transmitted clinical cases.

摘要: To compare the accuracy of interpretation digitized radiographs with that plain films, authors prospectively evaluated first 685 film cases (530 adult and 155 pediatric cases, each which consisted one or more images) transmitted from an outpatient center 18 miles (approximately 29 km) to a hospital radiology department by means high-speed teleradiology system. Plain films were via T-1 (1.544 Mbit/sec) data link for display on high-resolution (2,560 x 2,048-pixel) workstations. Radiologists at used copy requisition had been faxed remote center. Interpretation digital images was followed review original within 1 working day.
