摘要: Abstract A tribometer incorporating in situ optical microscopy and Raman spectroscopy has been used to study third body processes friction during sliding against three low coatings: amorphous Pb-Mo-S; diamond-like nanocomposite (DLN); annealed boron carbide. Reciprocating tests were performed both dry humid air with transparent hemispheres (glass or saphire) loaded the coatings. Videos spectra of contact recorded tests. In all cases, behavior could be explained terms relative motion between a transfer film on hemisphere wear track. With Pb-Mo-S, was MoS2; DLN, it graphite-like carbon; carbide, either mix H3BO3 carbon (at μ=0.08) or, when wore away, alone μ=0.2). Friction rises Pb-Mo-S DLN ascribed change interfacial shear strength; spikes fluctuations associated periodic loss thickness. For coatings, dominant velocity accommodation mode.
