摘要: Passive infrared (IR) standoff sensing and imaging of hazardous vapor plumes possess inherent unreliability due to its dependence on the volatile temperature difference. Active chemical detection by IR lidar is much less influenced field variations as passive is. In this paper, effect pulse stability performance studied. An analytical expression concentration limit (LOD) measurement in topographical scatterer mode with inclusion transmitted instability parameter (pulse energy dispersion D) was derived. Calculations done for 8-14 μm range, 1 mJ/pulse, 0.05 m2 telescope show that short a crucial parameter. It has been found subkilometer range LOD value proportional D, it does not depend either laser or mirror diameter. At R, deeper cooling photodetector reduce either. addition, research new kind noise arising from beam spot variability. The magnitude be covariance between distribution surface reflection unevenness surface.
