摘要: Abstract There is little information about the residue levels and congener composition of organic contaminants (OCs) in cetaceans. In present study, we investigated polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) blubber, blood, brain testes Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins (Sousa chinensis) stranded Pearl River Estuary (PRE), China. The lowest blubber/tissue partition coefficients were found for sum hexachlorocyclohexanes (ΣHCHs) ΣPAHs, while highest ΣPCBs dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes (ΣDDTs), likely attributing to octanol-water features. low OCs theoretically resulted from blood-brain barrier, blood-testes contaminant molecule dimensions unique lipid compositions testes. Compared with other contaminants, higher mean brain/blood testes/blood mirex, heptachlor, dieldrin endrin would increase risks associated exposure-related toxicity bioavailability within these tissues. Observations also suggest that as mobilizes may redistribute, leading elevated tissue (such brain) concentrations. Therefore, less blubber be more susceptible health risks. living PRE are at great risk due variety indirect contact non-target organisms, affecting animals (toxic effects accumulation). Our findings contribute knowledge potential exposure on developmental neurotoxicity reproductive damage marine mammals.
