摘要: Abstract Radon exposure assessment in case–control studies on radon and lung cancer is generally based contemporary concentration measurements, which can be affected by significant changes the building structures or living habits. Another method to estimate of subjects recently developed retrospective dosimetry technique 210 Po surface activity from glass objects. In order compare results obtained two methods, a study has been carried out sample 26 dwellings Rome, with values ranging 28 623 Bq m −3 . Retrospective detectors CR-39 LR 115 were exposed 50 objects bedrooms rooms. The correlation factor between sets data, after removing six extreme values, 0.67, similar other validation size. increases 0.83 if 21 non-smoky are selected, while it vanishes −0.01 for 23 smoky dwellings, suggesting quite larger variations plate-out presence environmental tobacco smoke.
