摘要: The relation between increased risk of lung cancer and exposure to indoor radon is assessed in epidemiological studies. Both the quality reliability smoking data are primary importance. Contemporary measurement concentration dwellings individuals a case-control study traditionally used assess past history exposure. These assessments somewhat unreliable since presently measured might not be representative for given location long ago. long-lived decay products from 222Rn remaining indoors on hard surfaces, such as glass, makes it possible radon. At Swedish Radiation Protection Institute, combination two different solid-state nuclear track detectors has been developed 210Pb activity implanted glass surfaces by measuring 210Po alpha activity. This detector (a RETRO detector) non-smokers with aim provide an alternative estimate individual evaluate usefulness measurements. A total 576 objects were found 568 measured. For 225 individuals, we personal that had same person's possession more than 20 years. standard deviation average obtained these median value 13 Bq/m3 indicating precision approximately 20%. correlation surface earlier mean values concentrations number historical, concentration. factor seems also valid measurements non-smoker study.
