摘要: Purpose To determine the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) after oral maxillofacial surgical procedures to evaluate rationale behind prophylactic antiemetic medications. Materials Methods A total 167 patients, irrespective age gender, undergoing under general anesthesia/dissociative anesthesia, were included. Risk factors associated with PONV such as type anesthetic agent used, nature procedure, approach duration surgery use opioids assessed. “watch wait” policy was adopted in all cases recorded gastric lavage (GL) be performed patients more than 2 episodes 6-hour period.
