摘要: Surgical techniques for castration of the Vietnamese pot-bellied boar and outcome are described. pig (VPBP) boars (n = 8) were admitted castration. Data retrieved from medical records (2002-2011) these pigs included signalment, history, reason castration, perioperative management, surgical technique, complications. Follow-up information was obtained owners. A scrotal approach with closed technique used 6 normally descended testes. open in 1 inguinal cryptorchid boar. In a hemicastrated abdominal an ipsilateral parainguinal used. No complications occurred. Castration is associated minimal satisfactory cosmetic outcome. We recommend routine closure external rings, simple fast procedure that may prevent post-castration herniation. Resume — du Cochon vietnamien mâle : 8 cas. Des Cochons vietnamiens mâles (CV) ont ete admis donnees recuperees des dossiers medicaux (de 2002 2011) ces cochons incluaient le signalement, l'anamnese, raison gestion peri-operatoire, chirurgicale renseignements de suivi obtenus aupres proprietaires. Une approche scrotale avec une fermee utilisee verrats testicules descendus normalement. ouverte utilisees chez un verrat cryptorchide inguinal. Chez hemicastre, parainguinale homolaterale utilisee. Aucune complication ne s'est produite. La est associee minimes resultat esthetique satisfaisant.
