摘要: Abstract Monocotyledons of 104 species in 52 families were divided into two groups depending on the UV fluorescence behaviour their cell walls. The unlignified walls first group, fluoresced blue, which changed to green with increased intensity after treatment NH 3 due presence bound ferulic acid. isolated members group shown contain ferulic, p -coumaric and diferulic acids. These acids absent from second group. contained Commelinidae Cronquist, Palmae (part Arecidae), Philydraceae, Pontederiaceae, Haemodoraceae (all part Liliidae). other latter subclasses those Alismatidae belonged
