SSk insidans prevalans›, etnik bolgesel faktorlerle iliflkili olarak, onemli farkl›l›klar gosterebilmektedir. Hastal›k en s›k 30-50 yafllar›nda gorulmektedir kad›n/erkek oran› 8/1’dir. prevalans› Amerika Birleflik Devletleri’nde eriflkin populasyonda s›ras›yla milyonda 19.3 242 olarak bildirilmifltir. Edirne bolgesinde yap›lan cal›flmada, ulkemiz icin 110 belirlenmifltir.
