摘要: Objective Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and endostatin appear to be involved in development of systemic sclerosis (SSc). We undertook this study determine ratios serum concentrations VEGF SSc patients, healthy controls, assessments between cytokines, lung-diffusing capacity (DLCO) as lung injury measurements related interstitial disease (ILD). Materials methods Serum levels were measured with ELISA 28 patients (16 lcSSc) 20-matched volunteers, evaluating correlation balance. DLCO was corrected for hemoglobin, alveolar volume, determined a single breath technique. Results (median; range) higher than controls (107.2; 13.6-261.2 vs. 77.8; 18.0-110.4 ng/ml, p < 0.05); did not differ (151.2; 4.5-836.4 286.4; 23.7-708.5 pg/ml, 0.05). Ratios 2.6 3.6 times lower (p 0.05) dcSSc comparison subjects. There significant negative correlations VEGF, (r = -0.51), -0.57). ILD (n 20) had similar endostatin, compared alone. No seen DLCO, their the whole group. Negative noted -0.82), ratio (-0.62) lcSSc 10). Conclusions Decreased may reflect imbalances angiogenic, anti-angiogenic activity SSc, explaining impaired neoangiogenesis.
