摘要: In this paper, we summarize some of the recent results obtained by soliton group at Osaka University. The main objective is to study nonlinear pulse propagation in an optical transmission system with dispersion management. This paper consists two parts dealing properties soliton-like RZ (return-to-zero) and conventional NRZ (non-return-to-zero) pulses. difference systems using those pulses sign velocity dispersion. However studies show that both require similar managements for improving performance.
