摘要: A case-control study of lung cancer in underground tin miners southern China was conducted to examine the interplay between exposure radon progeny and tobacco use. total 460 incident cases 1,043 controls were evaluated. Among exposed, mean exposures 600 427 working level months (WLM) for controls, respectively. The excess relative risk per WLM (ERR/WLM) 0.28% overall, with a 95% confidence interval 0.1-0.6%, similar estimate from cohort related population miners. established patterns associated seen; ERR/WLM decreased attained age time since last exposure. Conditional on exposure, highest delivered at low rate. did not differ significantly among current former smokers or within categories relationship use consistent multiplicative model, but best-fitting model intermediate additive multiplicative; an association rejected. Adjustment inorganic arsenic, known carcinogen, reduced 0.86% 0.28%. homogeneous across subgroups defined by workers exposed arsenic quartiles cumulative Although squamous cell carcinoma predominant type, small adenocarcinoma histologies appeared more strongly progeny. finding stronger trend carcinomas adenocarcinomas, compared carcinomas, occurred primarily younger ages diagnosis. Finally, higher if together than entirely preceded
