摘要: To achieve the basic human right of autonomy, individuals, including those with intellectual disabilities (ID), must be able to practice decision-making, that is, make their own decisions and communicate these others. In support autonomous Article 12 United Nations Convention on Rights People Disabilities (CRPD) stresses individuals legal capacity an equal basis others.1Supported decision-making approaches may aid ID in achieving this right. The question remains whether enactment CRPD indeed is translated into opportunities for supported among ID. order examine question, a systematic review bibliographic databases since 2008, when came force, was conducted map current state ID, identify areas need improvement. Twenty-seven manuscripts were reviewed, most focusing within fields residential settings, health care, sexuality-related decisions. This showed difficulties area remain during early years after entered effect. These are related themselves, caregivers, service system. No working models population found. discussion highlights importance developing skills people allowing them training professionals fostering philosophy person-centered planning.
