摘要: Background: Prostate cancer is the second most common malignancy in men world, and radiotherapy used as a standard treatment modality for this cancer. Although effectively kills prostate cancerous cells, it unavoidably irradiates organs/tissues that are away from site. In regard, radiation-induced testicular toxicities following can affect sexual function, reproduction, quality of life survivors. This review summarizes available data on exposure to radiation during consequences function. Methods: To illuminate radiotherapy, systematic search was conducted based Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses guideline PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, Embase, clinical trials electronic databases up September 2018. According set prespecified inclusion exclusion criteria, 31 eligible articles providing function patients with were included study. Results: different radiotherapeutic techniques treatment, total tumor dose scattered values ranging 36.25 78.00 Gy 0.06 6.48 Gy, respectively. Luteinizing hormone follicle-stimulating levels after signii¬cantly higher comparison pretreatment levels. Around 60 studies showed testosterone lower than Furthermore, erectile dysfunction (ED), an adverse side effect resulting reported complication correlated satisfaction life. Testicular atrophy has also been observed its frequency prior 2.5 times more without radiotherapy. Conclusion: The revealed tissues lead atrophy, variation male sex hormones, © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
