摘要: Background Delayed gastric emptying (DGE) is one of the most common complications after pancreatic resection. In literature, reported incidence DGE surgery varies considerably between different surgical centers, primarily because an internationally accepted consensus definition not available. Several centers use a DGE. Hence, valid comparison study reports and operative techniques possible. Methods After literature review on resection, International Study Group Pancreatic Surgery (ISGPS) developed objective generally applicable with grades based severity clinical impact. Results represents inability to return standard diet by end first postoperative week includes prolonged nasogastric intubation patient. Three (A, B, C) were defined impact course management. Conclusion The proposed definition, which grading DGE, should allow accurate results future trials will facilitate evaluation novel interventions modalities in field surgery.
