摘要: The capital and income breeding framework has only recently been used to explain variation in female reproductive strategies primates. application of this primates other mammals with long cycles not consistent. We evaluated data on Verreaux’s sifaka (Propithecus verreauxi verreauxi) the Kirindy Forest western Madagascar determine whether they are or breeders. found that can be classified as either breeders, depending how these concepts operationalized. These conflicting findings highlight why capital/ is currently problematic must standardized if it a useful for primatologists. Am. J. Primatol. 67:365–369, 2005. r 2005 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
