摘要: Abstract Micron-sized Cu 2 O with different coverage of nanoparticles (NPs) on the sphere has been synthesized by a redox procedure. The absorption spectra show that NPs induce surface plasmon resonance (SPR) at wavelength ∼565 nm. Methylene blue (MB) photodegrading experiments under visible-light display O–Cu–H system exhibits superior photocatalytic activity to O–H or pure H an evident dependency coverage. maximum photodegradation rate is 88% after irradiating for 60 min. role clarified through 420 nm light irradiation, which from SPR (∼565 nm). By excluding effect, it proves plays key in photodegradation. Besides, dark catalytic observed stemming Fenton-like reaction aid . radical quenching indicate both •O − and •OH radicals contribute photocatalysis, while catalysis only governed radicals, leading lower comparing photocatalysis. Therefore, introducing , O-based could be significantly improved due effect catalysis.
