摘要: The biogeochemical effects of a large surface water on contaminated anaerobic groundwater at the groundwater−surface interface (GSI) were evaluated using spatially discretized multilevel arrays and interpreted in light natural bioattenuation mechanisms. Groundwater samples, collected during 5-month evaluation period with increasing storm activity, to determine effect lake activity oxidation capacity contaminant distribution within plume. Our analyses indicate that concentrations methane chloroethene decreased as became increasingly oxidized along GSI shallow sample points impacted by infiltration oxygenated water. cis-1,2-Dichloroethene remained unchanged or slightly increased same locations, indicating decrease was not due dilution effects.
