摘要: Vitamin D is normally thought of as an environmental factor. However, even when all the factors known to influence vitamin concentrations, measured by 25-OH (25(OH)D), are taken into account, there substantial interindividual variability in levels. While it possible that other, undefined, contribute large noted with 25(OH)D levels, perhaps a more likely explanation for these differences lies genetics. Indeed, recent studies have demonstrated levels heritable and strongly influenced variants key regulatory genes. In this chapter, we will review evidence supports circulating being heritable, discuss candidate gene demonstrating association pathway genes detail genome-wide (GWAS) performed date, relate significance data generated via ChIP-Seq methods variation response D. Following overview genetic determinants level/activity, salient relating within specific respiratory disease outcomes. latter their relative infancy, they reflect potential D, combination variation, pulmonary susceptibility therapy.
