摘要: There have been few attempts to study systematically researchers' views about priorities for addiction research. This mail/telephone survey of 101 Australian researchers achieved a 90% response rate. Respondents believed there should be 50/50 split between the agency-directed and researcher-initiated methods funding allocation. The top four drugs in terms desired proportions research spending were alcohol 32%, tobacco 18%, opiates 9% prescribed 9%. Researchers' preferences high allocations on prevention at odds with low level studies this area. Complexities design methodology nominated as most important barriers divide qualitative quantitative approaches was not identified major barrier personal or In addition increases both overall specific funding, greater collaboration political support viewed facilitating factors efforts. Improved researcher training need integrate into quality assurance programmes also useful means encouraging studies.
