摘要: The aim of this article is to set out the groundwork for a research programme harm reduction in alcohol and drug treatment. First, attitudes science those who work field are discussed it argued that hostility introduction conventional scientific methods seriously misguided. Harm activity then defined as an attempt ameliorate adverse health, social or economic consequences mood-altering substances without necessarily requiring consumption these substances, definition amplified. Finally, issues relevant measurement outcome from interventions by comparing Newcombe's classification drug-related harms with existing instrument designed measure outcomes drugs (the Opiate Treatment Index).
